Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and a major cause of disability in the United States. On Friday, April 13th, Lama Al-Khoury, MD from UCR Health and the UC Riverside School of Medicine discusses stroke and why it happens. Learn to recognize the symptoms of stroke, and hear about the time-sensitive treatments that can minimize the long-term effects of a stroke. Participants will also learn about stroke risk factors and ways to reduce stroke risk.
