Epilepsy Services

Epilepsy is a chronic condition in which affected people experience recurrent seizures and the associated health consequences. An epileptic seizure is an event of altered brain function caused by abnormal, excessive activity of brain cells. Epilepsy can occur at any age and affects approximately 1% of the population worldwide.

At UCR Health, our specialists are skilled at diagnosing the type of seizures you are experiencing, the location of the seizures and the cause. Once a diagnosis is complete, our specialists will review potential treatment options with you and develop the best plan for your care and treatment.

Our physicians are fellowship trained and bring innovative, proven treatments to people living with epilepsy. UCR Health physicians are part of a team of doctors dedicated to improving your quality of life. We are proud to bring specialty services to our local communities so you don’t have to leave Inland Southern California for your medical care.
