According to Anthony Simmons, the Finance & Administrative Officer of the Family Medicine Department at UCR Health, there have been recent updates to the range of specialties that will be offered within the department. The upcoming specialties include:
- Geriatrics
- Integrative Medicine
- Palliative Care
- Medically assisted treatment of tobacco, alcohol and opioids dependence
These specialties are expected to roll out mid-November 2020. He also hopes to emphasize that the Family Medicine department offers services related to spirometry, preoperative evaluation, and minor office procedures such as biopsies and joint injections.
