Tejal Khandhar, DO, is a pediatrician at the UCR Health Inland Empire Women's Health Center, where she provides comprehensive care for children ranging from newborns to 18 years old. Her approach to pediatric medicine is rooted in a deep understanding of child health combined with a genuine commitment to listening to the concerns of both parents and their children. Dr. Khandhar places a strong emphasis on patient education, dedicating time to teaching families about healthy lifestyles and managing medical conditions to enhance their well-being. Known for her warm and playful interaction with patients, she expertly balances professionalism with playfulness, significantly reducing children's anxiety during medical visits and making each appointment a positive experience.

• What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? "When I am not working, I value the time I spend with my family the most. I have played and watched tennis my whole life, I love long-distance running, I love to watch soccer, read books constantly, and hope to see as much of the world as I can. I have a passion for working in underserved areas of our community and around the world."
