Movement Disorders

Movement disorders are neurological conditions that affect your ability to control movement. Some movement disorders are inherited while others may be the result of injury or of unknown origin. Some of the most common movement disorders are Parkinson’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, essential tremor and restless leg syndrome. Many movement disorders make it difficult to initiate voluntary movement or control involuntary movement.

At UCR Health, our movement disorder physicians are fellowship trained and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders. We work closely with you and your family to determine the best treatment available. Our goal is to provide treatment options that result in optimal quality of life.
