Dr. Troncoso’s patient care philosophy is grounded in active listening, clear communication, and meaningful patient engagement. He believes in empowering patients through education and shared decision-making, helping them understand their health so they can make informed choices. As an internal medicine physician, he values the long-term relationships built with patients and is committed to providing thoughtful, community-centered care across all stages of adult life.

Dr. Troncoso is an internal medicine physician with a strong commitment to caring for underserved communities, advancing medical education, and improving access to care for Spanish-speaking patients. A first-generation immigrant, he earned his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at The Family Health Centers at NYU. Dr. Troncoso began his journey in medicine by volunteering as a Spanish-language interpreter in community clinics and later taught medical Spanish to peers in medical school. He remains passionate about mentoring future physicians and promoting culturally sensitive, language-accessible care.

• Outside of medicine, what do you enjoy doing? Outside of medicine, I enjoy learning about technology (AI), mentoring, dancing, and traveling.
• Why did you go into medicine? To improve understanding of chronic health conditions to underserved populations and care for Spanish-speaking patients. Ways I envision this is through caring for patients, being involved in medical education to teach the next generation of physicians, and mentorship.
