Personal Highlights
  • Outside of medicine, what do you enjoy doing? I am an avid runner, I like hiking, playing music (ukulele, flute, even if badly) and playing with my dog.
  • Why did you go into medicine? I was moved by the potential to work with individuals and families, in their journeys in health, well-being and healing. I enjoyed the idea of combining science, medicine, and social responsibility towards improving the well-being of communities.
  • What are the unique skills you have as a physician? I am fluent in Spanish and trained in the integration of spiritual topics in care. I am a provider and researcher in evidence based care for traumatic stress across the lifespan.
  • What do you bring to Riverside County/Coachella Valley and its community? I have 20+ years of clinical experience and mental health programs development. I have a demonstrated committment to community health and partnerships, and I have particular experience in working with immigrant communities to advance health as the individual and community levels.
