Patient Philosophy
My patient care philosophy is based on a partnership requiring mutual trust. I view patients as the ultimate experts on their bodies and experiences with their health. With my training as a gynecologic surgeon, I like to serve as an educator and guide through complex diagnoses and create care plans that align with my patients' goals and priorities.
Provider Bio
Dr. Jasmine Correa is an obstetrician-gynecologist completing subspecialty fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at UC Riverside. Her additional surgical training focuses on advanced hysteroscopy and laparoscopy for the management of conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and pelvic pain. She also provides primary gynecologic care and is passionate about caring for women throughout their lives and the full spectrum of reproductive health needs beyond pregnancy.
Dr. Correa is a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico and was born and raised in the Inland Empire. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington, Seattle, then returned home to attend the UC Riverside School of Medicine on a full-ride scholarship. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Correa is a strong advocate for women’s reproductive justice, and she is dedicated to improving access to advanced gynecologic care and surgery for the diverse communities of the Inland Empire.
Personal Highlights
- Why did you choose your specialty and what are a few ways specialists in your field are making a difference in the world? I chose Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery because I truly appreciate caring for women through their lifespan and spectrum of reproductive health needs outside of pregnancy. I love educating and guiding patients through complex gynecologic diagnoses and surgical management, instilling confidence and improving their overall quality of life. I am a strong advocate for women's reproductive justice and get to do that through my daily work.
- Outside of medicine, what do you enjoy doing? My hobbies include playing piano and volleyball. I also spend time in my garden and with my fruit trees; we currently have lemons, oranges, clementines, citron, and loquats.
