Dr. Rivera’s patient care philosophy is rooted in empathy, respect, and shared decision-making. She believes that every patient deserves to feel seen, heard, and actively involved in their care. With a deep understanding that many individuals have faced barriers or felt dismissed in the past, Dr. Rivera is committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel supported, empowered, and confident in their health journey.

Dr. Rivera is a dedicated physician with a passion for women’s health, health equity, and patient empowerment. Originally from Long Beach, California, she is proud to be Mexican American and the first physician in her family. She earned her undergraduate degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, which deeply shaped her approach to medicine as both a clinical practice and a form of advocacy. Dr. Rivera is committed to providing compassionate, inclusive care and creating spaces where all patients feel respected, informed, and supported in their health journeys.

• Outside of medicine, what do you enjoy doing? I enjoy staying active from any outdoor activity, to yoga, weight lifting, swimming. I also enjoy meditation and nutrition.
• Why did you go into medicine? To help the underserved and give back to my community.
